OriginA princess was abandoned at birth by her tyrannical father (who wanted a male heir to rule) and her mother died during childbirth. The father ordered the child to be killed, but in her last moments, the mother begged a maid to leave the baby in a temple of priests and priestesses.On the same day, they had a vision that this child was destined to either save or destroy the world. Tsukihime was always a disinterested and quiet child, viewing dying animals with a certain coldness. One day, while cleaning the temple library, she found a scroll beside a drawer in the private wing and read it. The scroll was about the evil spirit of the white snake, and Tsukihime felt something within her calling. A priestess saw her with the scroll and screamed in horror.Faced with this situation, the priests felt obligated to lock the young princess in a room to erase her memory, but it was too late; Tsukihime had memorized the entire scroll. In the lonely room, she invoked the spirit, which proposed a deal: "Your soul for my power." Tsukihime accepted, but as the spirit entered her being, it screamed in despair, cursing the young princess with eternal life and immortality. As a consequence, her once black hair turned white as snow, except for a small dark patch, her eyes became blood-red, and her mouth turned black with a forked tongue like a snake.After killing everyone in the temple, Tsukihime found herself isolated in blood and decided to give herself a new name: Satsunao. She then discovered that consuming souls left her extremely satisfied, leading her to become a geisha and eventually an Oiran to feed on the souls of lustful men. One day, a tall, mysterious man appeared, interested in the snake and wanting to kill her. Upon entering Satsunao's room, he greeted her, saying he was there not for pleasure but to end her life. He transformed darkness into a spear and decapitated her. Satsunao began to laugh hysterically, humiliating the poor man: "Do you really think an inferior demon like you can kill me? Don’t be foolish," she said as her body walked towards her head and placed it back. She then approached him incredulously and began to extract his soul. Unlike human souls, which are pure (not all), demons have corrupted souls, thus possessing black orbs. Absorbing his soul, Satsunao discovered she could absorb the power of other demons, and their souls satisfied her more than human souls. She then began to hunt demons for food.

Present DayWhile hunting demons as usual, Satsunao, now not the woman she once was, found herself cornered by the god of death, who was about to claim her immortal, corrupted soul. Before this fateful situation occurred, Satsunao lost control, and the spirit that they believed had vanished and been absorbed by her returned, claiming its part in the deal and possessing her body. Now Satsunao found herself in a temple, coincidentally the place where she was raised, and in the background saw a fox transform into a tall man with black hair and red-tinged garments. He then said, "Let me introduce myself; I am Seiji, and I believe you humans have confused my origin. I don’t blame you, as I often take the form of a snake. I am the god of souls, child, and I am here to take yours." With that, they began to fight for her body. After a grueling battle, Satsunao acted like a snake, deceiving the corrupted god, defeating him, and absorbing him all at once.As she was about to perish, Satsunao regained consciousness, but her hair was now completely white, and the markings on her body, once red and gold, were black, with a halo above her head. The horrified god exclaimed, "This isn’t possible; only that fool Seiji had such a halo!" Satsunao replied, "Sorry, but your friend is dead. And do you know the best part? I was the one who killed him and absorbed him." With that, she drew a black scythe from her back and charged at the now unstable god. "It can’t be! I thought he was killed centuries ago after he strayed and killed humans!" Satsunao ultimately ended the immortal life of Hades and absorbed his soul. She then became the goddess of souls, able to control not only souls but also death. Her eyes became red and white, the left one white with a kanji for death inscribed on it.

The Story of KirinAs Satsunao wandered through the lush garden of the temple, she felt an unusual energy pulsing around her. The vibrant flowers seemed to whisper secrets, and the air was thick with an otherworldly essence. Drawn to a shimmering pool at the garden's center, she glimpsed a magnificent Kirin, its scales glistening like jewels and its aura radiating purity and grace. Intrigued and hungry for power, Satsunao approached the mythical creature, sensing the potential of its soul. In an instant, she unleashed her dark abilities, ensnaring the Kirin in an ethereal grip. The creature struggled, but Satsunao’s resolve was unyielding. With a swift, fateful strike, she absorbed its soul, feeling an intoxicating surge of strength coursing through her. The garden, once filled with life and light, dimmed as the essence of the Kirin merged with her own, enhancing her powers and deepening her connection to the realms of both light and darkness.
